HOW CAN SAVVY STAFFING HELP ME WITH MY SEARCH?
Our recruiters are experienced and can help you assess your resumé and draw out the best information to showcase. Our recruiters know about the job and the company you are applying for, so this can really help. We can give you more insight than a job description. We have the inside scoop on every listing we post.
HOW SHALL I PREPARE FOR MY RECRUITER INTERVIEW?
Recruiter interviews are so important. The recruiter asks key questions of you with our client’s interests in mind. The recruiter interview is the first impression and the first step to meeting the representative for our client companies. We are essentially an extension of their “hiring team”. Dress in business attire, bring 2 copies of your resume, email a digital one prior, be punctual, be ready to ask questions and answer them thoughtfully. Use the interview to gain insight about the job and the company and apply that knowledge. Creating good rapport with your recruiter is so very important.
WILL I BE HIRED FOR A PERMANENT JOB?
A candidate may really only want a permanent job. The objection would depend on the applicants’ situation. If the person isn’t working, we would explain that many companies only hire temp-to-perm and not permanent. Quite often the reason for this is because they really want the opportunity to make sure the position is a good fit for both the candidate and the company. We usually know after working with a company for a long time if the position will most likely become a permanent position. In these situations the outcome mostly depends on the candidate.
HOW LONG DO ASSIGNMENTS LAST?
Assignments vary according to the needs of our clients. There are short-term and long-term positions. It is our job to match up the right person for the right job. If you are looking for short-term work, we can strive to find a position that is a good fit. If you are looking for a long-term position or a permanent opportunity, we will work hard to find a company culture that best fits what you are looking for in the long term. We have seen people hired for a 3-day assignment and the client was so happy that it turned into a permanent placement.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR A JOB TO GO FROM TEMPORARY TO PERMANENT?
Candidates often ask how long they will be temporary before they go permanent. This can vary, so we generally answer this question when we know more information about the candidate and what client they will be working with.
WHAT IS SAVVY STAFFINGS’ PROTOCOL FOR SCREENING?
Besides the usual interview, tests and reference checking, we tailor our screening process to follow our clients’ protocol. We partner with our clients so we do our very best job finding a quality candidate and fulfilling their expectations. Drug tests and background checks are at the discretion of our clients, depending on the nature of their business and the job criteria.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM NOT HAPPY WITH MY ASSIGNMENT?
Our recruiters understand that this can happen, no matter how much we prepare and screen our candidates. Call your recruiter as soon as possible. Finish your day and we can find a solution. It is very unprofessional to leave a job post at any time until the communication and problem is solved. We replace unhappy candidates as soon as possible.
WHAT IS THE PAY SCHEDULE?
Savvy Staffing pays weekly. Your check will be ready on Friday IF you submit a signed time card by Monday at noon. To receive your check, direct deposit is the best option or you can stop by and pick up your check on Friday. We do not recommend that because it can be time consuming to wait for your check. We are only open during business hours. Some of our large clients have check delivery.
